Eunice "Eunie"  White

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Eunice "Eunie" White, 85 years of Springhill. Eunice passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Halifax.
Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Juanita (Brown) Terris.
Eunie was a loving dedicated mother and grandmother who thought the world of her family, and they of her. She loved spending time with her family and friends from special family gatherings to spontaneous moments. She was an active member of the Springhill Salvation Army, participating in the Home League, and in the annual kettle drive. She was also an active member of the the Kidney Foundation, and the Springhill Senior Citizens Club. Eunie always looked forward to long drives in the countryside and Monday night Bingo at the Junction Road Seniors.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Brenda (Mike) Knockwood, CT/Dorchester, NB and Carl (Doris) White, Springhill; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, David, Charles, Crystal, Caitlyn and Dana; 4 great grandchildren; as well as numerous close friends.
She was predeceased by husband Carl in 1958; son, John "Skip" last February; brothers, Cecil "Jeep", and John; and sister, Queenie Vance.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A time of visitation was held at the Funeral Home from 6 to 7 pm on Monday, December 19, 2016, followed immediately at 7 pm by a Celebration of Life Service, Lieut. Stephen Toynton and Lieut. Rosalyn Toynton officiating. Eunie will be laid to rest beside her family in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, at a later date.
