JEFFERY, John Albert “Jack” – Yarmouth, passed away at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rose (Jackson); sons, Alfred (Rhonda Lanktree), Edmonton; David (Kim Acheson), Yarmouth; Tommy, Yarmouth; John (Mary), Lower Sackville, NS, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also, Gilbert and Louise Nyle along with their three children and nine grandchildren, were a loving part of his family. Dad loved music and this was a part of his entire life. He and his group volunteered their time to play Christmas concerts and at other times at Harbourside Lodge and other seniors homes around the area. He was a member of the Yarmouth Citizens Band, the Yarmouth Barbershoppers and was also a former organist at St. Ambrose Cathedral where he was also a member of the choir. He was also an original member of the RCMP Auxiliary for approximately 20 years and was very proud of this. Jack was self-employed for 50 years with his upholstering business. He truly was a kind, caring and very giving man who will be sadly missed by all. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 27 at 2 p.m., Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiating. The family will receive visitors for a half hour prior to the service. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or to the CNIB. A special thanks to Linda O’Connell, Home Care staff, Dr. Marais and the staff of 3-South at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
