Richard Johnson, age 76 passed away on December 22, 2016 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Guysborough Co., he was the son of the late Charlie and Harriet (Bernard) Johnson.
He is survived by sister, Marcella Johnson (Peter Young); step brother, Freeman Francis; godchild, Theresa Isadore; niece, Maryann Paul; cousin, Theresa ‘Delace’ Cremo and many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Caroline Brooks, Elizabeth (Jackie) Dort, Anacelia Johnson and Angeline Johnson; brother, John; nieces, Margaret and Theresa.
Visitation for Richard will begin after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 151 Beach Road, Eskasoni.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni, Rev. Martin MacDougall will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
