ALEX “SHORTY” FLAHR
Alex Flahr of Moose Jaw passed away on December 22, 2016 at the age of 84 surrounded by his family. Alex was a proud Ironworker for 50 years. Upon his retirement, he volunteered at the Royal Canadian Legion Moose Jaw Branch and the Army and Navy Vets. He attended evening mass at Church of our Lady. Alex loved his family and he also cherished his pets Tiffany and KoKo. Alex is predeceased by his parents Alex and Rose; brothers Raymond and John. He will be sadly missed by his children Roseanne (Les) Madin, Dianne Hobbins, Ray (Fran) Flahr, Rod(Chandra) Flahr, Roger (Char) Flahr; grandchildren Amanda Flahr, Chelsea Hobbins (Steve), Stefanie (Mike) Palynchuk, Kyle Hobbins, Samantha Flahr (Danton), Ben Flahr, Kyler Flahr and Jakeb Flahr; great grandchildren Emery, Liam and Charliee Palynchuk, Grayson Nunweiler, Maverick Moorhead; brothers William and Bob; sisters Adeline and Lorraine; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at 1:30 PM at W. J. Jones and Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St E., Moose Jaw. Reverend David Moore will officiate. The family would like to thank Kathy and the staff at Providence Place Guardian Grove for their care and compassion.
