Frances Muriel Bond

It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of Frances Muriel Bond on December 28,2016 at Victoria Haven Nursing Home with loving family at her side. Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Butts) Clark.
In her early years Frances was employed at Harbax Home Hardware and then worked as a PCW at Seaview Manor until her retirement. Frances was a member of Warden United church for over 50 years, also the Ladies Guild and the UCW. Frances is survived by daughters, Lorraine (Wally) McNutt, Beverly (Bill) Byard-Jackson, Lesley (Shelly) Shaw, April (Robert) Gouthro and Cheryl (John) O’Leary; sons, Edward (Kathy) and Dwight (Marilyn); brothers, Harold (Eunice) and Lorne; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband, Wesley; daughter, Cynthia; son, Bruce; sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, Doris and Viola; brothers, Fred, Marcillin and Jim; son-in-law, Brian Byard.
Visitation will take place on Friday December 30, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St Glace Bay. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 31 at 2 p.m. in Warden United Church with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Donations in memory of Frances can be sent to a charity of one’s choice.
