Lois Madeline (Taylor) Peterson born December 10, 1928 to Agnes (nee Graham) & Charles Taylor, passed away December 21, 2016 at age 88 years. Born in Eston, Saskatchewan, the youngest of nine children, Lois moved with her family to the Radiance District west of Meadow Lake. She married Robert Peterson and they resided in Meadow Lake, SK. until May of 1958 when they moved to Prince Albert because of Robert’s transfer of work. While in Meadow Lake, Lois taught Sunday school at Grace United Church and was active in the U.C.W. Volunteering continued in Prince Albert at Calvary United Church and then Nisbet United Church where she did the bookkeeping for two years. She worked in retail in Meadow Lake before marrying and resumed that in Prince Albert for a few years, followed by secretarial work for TR Spring & Align, her son Ray’s business, retiring in 1990. Hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. Lois was predeceased by her beloved Robert in July of 2009 and her much loved son Raymond in March 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne (Lorne) Haberstock, a son Grant (Marlene) Peterson and a daughter-in-law Anne (Dennis Ironside) Peterson. Also surviving are grandchildren, Vanessa (Kelvin) Sehn, Cyrie (Clayton) Heffernan, Evan (Amanda) Peterson, Jerrod (Jennifer) Peterson, Chase (Nadine) Peterson; Lianne (Lionel) Piller, Ryan (Renee) Haberstock, Kristian (Jody) Haberstock, Shannon (Will) Peterson-Beavereye, Jordan (Kimberly) Peterson, Lesley (Aiden) Fremont, and Garret (Jessica Lebovic) Dawson, as well as several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild due in April. Graveside service to be held in late spring, the much loved gardening season. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to River Park Funeral Home, 306 764-2727, Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director.
