Harold Ernest Gay – 71, Truro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Sussex, N.B., he was the son of the late Gordon and Evelyn (Wolfe) Gay.
Harold loved rebuilding engines, fishing, anything hockey, and Sunday drives with Sandra. He was an avid lover of history, cars, planes, and fishing. He will be remembered for his steak nights, his quick wit, his love for family, and his very big heart.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Lynne Gay, Truro, Chrystal Gay, Halifax, Shannon (Jason) MacPhee, Quispamsis, N.B.; grandchildren, Katelyn (Ryan), Kaleb, Jacob, Zachary and Amelia; brother, Bob (Dianne), North River; sister, Vivian (Frank), Ontario. Loving companion and friend, “Happy”.
Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by his loving wife, Sandra; sister, Lynn.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2-4pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Family flowers only.
