It is with great sadness that the families of Harvey Warwick Ropson announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Thursday, December 29th, 2016, at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Jane, sons: Rupert (Bonnie), Gerald (Joanne), Paul (Cathy) and Andy (Crystalann), his grandchildren: Ryan (Shawna), Barrie, ON, Nikita (Steven), Alberta, Brittany (Cody), Calgary, Kayla (Tyler), Barrie, ON, Emma (Mark), Halifax, Sheldon (Jennifer), Deer Lake and Caitlin, his great-grandchildren: Carter, Colton, Barrie, ON, Nathan, Hali, Alberta, Ainsley, Mitchell, Deer Lake, and Mathieu and Mason, Deer Lake, his siblings: Allan (Susan), Elsie (Bill) and Eileen Rice, all of Hampden, his sisters-in-law: Dulcie Ropson, Shirley Ropson and Elsie Ropson, all of Hampden. Harvey was predeceased by his parents Olive and George Ropson, his brothers: Harold Joe, Arthur John and Eric Ropson, his brother-in-law Melvin Rice. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended families and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends at The Anglican Church of The Epiphany, in Hampden, on Saturday, December 31st, 2016, form the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Sunday, January 1st, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the Funeral service will take place from on Monday, January 2nd, 2017, at 2 pm, with Bishop David Torraville officiating with the burial to follow at the Community Cemetery in Hampden, NL.
