It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Albert Francis Williams, of Ingonish, at his home on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
Born in Ingonish on September 17, 1928, he was the son of the late Patrick and Viola (Cann) Williams. Dad will always be remembered for his kindness, his big heart and infectious smile. Dad also had a great sense of humour. He loved playing his guitar and never looked at a song book. He heard a song and then played it. Albert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret (Fitzgerald) Williams; his sons, Glen (Sheila), Ingonish and Blaine (Laura), Oshawa, ON. and his grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah. He also leaves behind his sisters, Beatrice, Audrey and Blanche and brothers, Ralph and Bill. We would like to thank the staff from home care, nursing care and the staff at Buchanan Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Albert’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 11 to 1 p.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Ingonish. A celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the church, with Fr.
