The death occurred at the Souris Hospital on Monday, January 2, 2017 of Rod McLaren, Veteran of World War II, in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Frances. Survived by daughter in law Donna McLaren, granddaughters Darlene, Dana, Jody, great grandchildren Jessie and Jack, brother Hubert, sisters Helena, Alice, Gladys and Hilda. Predeceased by son John, brothers Gus, Jack, Raymond, Frank, sisters Dottie, Celia and Hazel. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 am.
