Woodrow Norman "Woody" Ellsworth

Ellsworth, Woodrow Norman “Woody”, 65, Millbrook First Nation, passed away peacefully at home, December 30, 2016. Born February 5, 1951, in Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Eli and Effie (Shears) Ellsworth. Woody enjoyed spending time with his furry companion “Chip”. During his younger years, he was caught under a hood of a car fixing what needed to be fixed, and if he couldn’t fix it, he was sure duct tape would. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity for others and his “Newfoundland” hospitality and tasteful skills in the kitchen for family and friends during Sunday dinner or preparing a meal for Cape Breton visitors passing through who would never leave hungry.
Woody will be greatly missed by his children Angela Ellsworth of Fort McMurray, AB, Anthony Ellsworth of Truro; step-children Colin Bernard (Holly), Sunshine Bernard (Glen), Natasha Bernard (Eugene), all of Millbrook First Nation; grandchildren, Chyanne and Ashley Ellsworth both of Fort McMurray, Madison White of Upper Kennetcook, Sophie, Mattea and Toby Bernard, all of Millbrook First Nation; God Father Walter Martin and his loving pet “Chip” Bernard. Fondly remembered by his siblings Ruby Hillier (Norman) of Corner Brook, NF, Catherine Decker of Rocky Harbour, NF, Sarah Payne (Lawrence) of Cow Head, NF, Mildred House of Hawke’s Bay, NF, Dorothy Shepherd (Clarence) of Sackville, NS, Marion Butt (Walter) of Drayton Valley, AB. Samuel Ellsworth of Rocky Harbour, NF, Russell Ellsworth (Carolyn) of Stephenville, NF, Lloyd Ellsworth (Ruby) of Rocky Harbour, NF, Noel Ellsworth (Corinne) of Fort McMurray, AB. He will be truly missed by his many nieces and nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Along with his parents, Woody was predeceased by his sister Karzena White (Simone), brother Leonard Ellsworth, God-mother Linda Julien, and his love of his life Janet Bernard who he missed so dearly after her passing but now is reunited.
