The death occurred peacefully at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge, with family and caregivers at his side, on January 3, 2017 of Peter Robert Emery of Wood Islands in his 84th year. Left to mourn the passing of a loving brother, uncle and cousin are Donald, Jack (Dolores), Monte, Lynn (Wayne) MacKay; brother-in-law Leo MacLeod; sisters-in-law Lillian Emery, Lorraine Emery and Susan Bignell; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, all very dear to Peter. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Florence (Stewart) Emery; step-father Eric Stewart; sisters Ann (Frank) Cihelka, and Margaret MacLeod; and brother Kenneth Emery. Resting at Southern Kings & Queens Funeral Home, Murray River. No visitation at this time. A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2017 with date to be announced.
