MARIE CHEEKE
October 30th, 1926 ~ December 31st, 2016


It is with great sadness that the family of the late MARIE CHEEKE of Marystown announces her passing at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank on Saturday, December 31st, 2016 at the age of 90. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Edward (Glenda) of Nova Scotia, Bernard (Sharon) of Lawn, Vincent (Doris) of PEI, Walter of Glenwood, and Remegius (Jennifer) of ON; daughters, Mercedes (Howard) Evans of Port Au Bras, Margaret (Harvey) Brenton of Salt Pond, Evelyn (Bruce) Brenton of Salt Pond, and Bridget (Eric) Rolands of AB; daughters-in-law, Claudette Power of NS, and Linda Cheeke of St. John’s; sisters, Evelyn (Stan) LeBlanc of NS, and Dorothy (Robert) Casement of ON; large number of grandchildren & great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent Cheeke Sr.; parents, Maurice & Margaret Power; sons, Maurice Cheeke & John Power; and daughter, Marie Cheeke.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Thursday, January 5th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
