Bradford, Leonard Thomas of St. Thomas, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, as the result of a fire at his residence, at the age of 58.
Husband of Dale Bradford and dear brother of Betty Robinson (Gordie) of Nova Scotia, Johnny Bradford (Evelyn) of Nova Scotia, Jim Bradford (Donna) of St. Thomas, Don Burke (Sheila) of Nova Scotia.
Predeceased by a brother Bernie Bradford and 2 nephews Danny Bradford and David Robinson.
Dear brother-in-law of Ursula Bradford of Acton. Special uncle and dance partner to Lisa Bradford and his nephews the 2 Amigos, Joe and Jim Bradford. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Leonard was born in Westville, Nova Scotia on April 1, 1958, the son of the late Joe and Stella (Hall) Bradford.
He was a dedicated employee over 30 years at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital and the Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care in St. Thomas. He enjoyed fishing and working on his home.
A Celebration of Leonard’s life will be held at the Lord Elgin Branch 41, of the Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception until 4:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place with his ashes to be taken home to Nova Scotia.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Animal Aide. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas entrusted with the arrangements.
