Alice (Cloutier) Forget of Swift Current, SK passed away on December 17, 2016 at Meadows in Swift Current. Alice was born in Ponteix, SK on May 24, 1936. Alice attended school at Notekeu Country School and Ponteix convent. She had to end her schooling early to help her mom out with her many siblings. Alice married Rene Forget on November 5, 1958 in Ponteix. They farmed his father's land North East of Ponteix. Alice was an excellent home maker and gardener. Alice and Rene enjoyed hosting many family get togethers. They also enjoyed spending time with their numerous nieces and nephews. They sold the farm in 1978. They moved to Swift Current and worked side by side at their Esso until they retired. They enjoyed each others company on the many travelling trips they took together. Alice was a very devoted CWL member and her faith was a big part of her life. Alice is survived by her sister Bernadette Lauer, her sister Simone (George) Lorenz, her brother Gaston Cloutier, her brother Andre Cloutier, her sister Mariette Paradis, her brother Armand (Fay) Cloutier, her brother Denis (Marguerite) Cloutier, her sister Gisele Cloutier and her brother Raymond Cloutier. Plus numerous in laws and nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband Rene Forget in 2004. Her parents Benoit and Amanda Cloutier. Her father and mother in law Guillaume and Rachel Forget. Her sisters Irene Matecha and Cecile Zinter and her brother Roland Cloutier. Plus many in laws and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in Swift Current, SK on January 6, 2016 at 2 pm with Father Reymundo Asis. The urn bearer Richard Thibault and cross bearer Mark Cloutier. The interment will be held on a later date in Ponteix, SK. Donations can be made to Christ the Redeemer Church building fund.
