The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 of Marie Compton, of St. Eleanors, aged 70 years. Born in Coleman, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rosella (MacEachern) MacCallum. Survived by her children Steven (Noella), Randy (Janeen Grigg) and Michael (Renee); daughter-in-law Darlene Compton; grandchildren Samantha, Lisa, Kyle, Sara, Marty and Ben Compton; Emma and Ethan Pierce; brother Charles (Donna); sisters Mildred MacDonald, Bernice MacDonald and Lillian Campbell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Eileen (Maurice) Claerhout, Ivan (Phyllis) Compton, Shirley (Robert) Gallant, Blair (Cecile Ellis), Marjorie (Jim) Montgomery, Helen Compton and Keir (Gertie) Compton. Predeceased by her husband Wendell Compton; son Blaine Compton; brother Wendell, in infancy; her sister Isabel MacCallum; brothers-in-law Lorne and Stanley Compton; Junior Dumville; and parents-in-law Lawrence and Frances (Muttart) Compton. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment later in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, St. Eleanors. A reception for family and friends will be held at the St. Eleanors Lions Club, 121 East Drive, St. Eleanors, on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. Memorial donations to the Home Care and Support Program would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
