Vida Raye Hamilton, 92 , passed peacefully away holding her daughters hand on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Centre. Born in Charlesville, N.S. on December 6, 1924 she was a daughter of Hallet Ray and Alva (Hubbard) Crowell.
Vida worked for many years as a nurse at BFM hospital in Kentville, N.S. and as a buyer for Birks Jewelers in Toronto, Ontario.
She is survived by her only child, Pamela Hamilton, River Hebert, granddaughter, Tena Forbes, grandson, Robert Forbes, great grandsons Marcus and Aaron Rector.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lendon in 1997.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). She will be buried at a later date beside her husband in Yarmouth, N.S.
