Stan was predeceased by his mother Violet Amelia Bowers; his father James Chester Bowers; his brothers Ron, Gary and Harold. Stan was born at the Red Cross Hospital in Paddockwood, SK on August 18, 1932. He worked for local farmers around Paddockwood and in 1951 moved to Rosetown. In 1952 he met his wife and they were married on June 30, 1955. In August of 1967 Mom and Dad moved to their farm home. They were blessed with four children. Once on the farm, Mom and Dad started grain farming, bought and milked cows, raised beef cattle, pigs and chickens. Dad drove school bus for 22 years. Dad was very active in numerous community clubs and activities. He loved his old time dancing and a great Kaiser game. Dad will always be remembered as a hard-working, honest and respectable man, and a wonderful father. We will consider ourselves blessed if we can be half of the person that our father was. We will always love you and miss you dearly. REST IN PEACE. In accordance with our Dad’s wishes, a Celebration of his Life will be held on his birthday, Friday, August 18, 2017. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Howard Creek Cemetery Fund, PO Box 303, Meath Park, SK S0J 1T0, in care of Lisa Davidson.
