LYDIA ELEANOR PATTIE (ENGLAND)
1922 – 2017
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lydia Pattie, on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at the age of 94 years. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Chester and Della Dean in the Davidson/Tugaske district. In the early 1940’s she went to work for William and Pearl England of Tugaske, SK, where she met Percy James England. They were married in 1944, and farmed and raised their family in the Mawer district until Percy’s passing in 1979. Lydia married James Pattie in 1983 and they resided in Saskatoon, SK until his passing. She moved back to Moose Jaw in her later years to be closer to family. She was predeceased by her parents; 9 brothers and sisters; husband, Percy England; husband, James Pattie; daughter, Linda; sons, Lyle and Edgar; and son-in-law, Ljubo Koraca. Lydia is survived by her children: Barrie (Jean) England, Glennys Koraca, Everett (Pam) England, Calvin (Darlene) England, and Holly (Ron) Lindquist; daughter-in-law, Holly England; her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Extendicare in Moose Jaw for the excellent care they gave Lydia during her stay there. Also, a special thank you to Dorothy and Corny Penner for everything they did for her. They were always there when she needed them and it was greatly appreciated. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 20th, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Dave Foley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lydia’s name may be made to the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation, 2217C Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8 or to a charity of one’s choice.
