Laturnus: Theresa Marie Rose Leona Laturnus, age 67, of Val Marie Saskatchewan passed away January 19th 2017 at Regina Saskatchewan. The funeral service was held at 2pm, January 24th 2017 from the Church of Nativity with Father Joe Strahoffer officiating. The organist was Joanne Monette. The Music for service was preformed by Madonna Hamel, Kathy Grant and the Village of Val Marie. Eulogist was read by Madonna Hamel. Ushers were John Glas and Richard Glas. The Honor Guard was members of the Val Marie and District C.W.L. The pallbearers were Claude Jeanson, Dennis Jeanson, Paul Jeanson, Taylor Laturnus, Jonathan Jeanson and Roger Glas. The interment service was held at Val Marie Community Cemetery. Theresa is survived by her (Husband) Casper Laturnus, (daughter) Connie (Jerry) Ewachow, (son) Myles (Yvette) Laturnus, (daughter) Melody Radicki, (Grandchildren) Malory (Travis) Neyedly, Rochelle Neyedly, Brandyn (Jody) Neyedly, Carson Ewachow, Jacob Ewachow, Taylor (Cheyanne) Laturnus, Nicole Laturnus. (Great grandchildren) Huntyr & Danyka Neyedly, Hailey Neyedly, Marshall Neyedly. (brother) Dennis (Audrey Rose) Jeanson, Claude (Jacqueline) Jeanson, Roger (Sharon) Jeanson, Paul Jeanson, Luke (Darlene) Jeanson, Gisele (Denis Dufault) Jeanson and numerours nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her (parents) Gabriel and Rosilda Jeanson, Lionel & Florilda Jeanson, (brother) Andre Jeanson, (husbands parents) John & Magdelena Laturnus, (Sister in law) Regina Laturnus, (Brothers in law) Elmer Laturnus & George Laturnus. Theresa was born September 18th 1949 in Beauharnois Quebec. She attended school at Debden Sask, and Val Marie Sask. She married Casper Laturnus July 26th 1969 in Val Marie Saskatchewan. Theresa had various Janitorial jobs around Val Marie and also did babysitting for families in Val Marie. She was a member of the CWL Ladies Club, Parrish Council, Church Sacristan, and Liturgy Coordinator. Theresa enjoyed singing, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Loved everything to do with the Church, and helping people in need. Theresa had the most kindhearted soul. She would give her shirt off her back to anyone in need. She always had everyone smiling with her outgoing attitude. She could start singing in a room full of people and everyone would join in. Every time you saw her she would have a smile on her face and welcome you in with open arms. She always put everyone ahead of herself. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, and Church of Nativity Roof Fund. Lemieux Funeral Home, Ponteix, SK were entrusted with the arrangements.
