The death occurred at Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 of Mary Eliza Gay of Knutsford, aged 92, wife of the late Grenfell Gay. Born in Springfield West on January 13, 1925, daughter of the late Nelson and Ethel (Gay) Currie. Dear mother to Betty (Harold) Gray, Woodstock, Lula (Wayne) DesRoches, Alberton, and Sandra Gay (Carlos Ituart), Toronto. Loving grandmother to Spencer Gay, Michael (Sonya) DesRoches and Michelle (Shane) Crockett and great grandmother to Pierce, Gracie, Cole and Shana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband Grenfell, son Calvin, brothers Lester, Freeman, Wilbur and sisters Muriel Waite, Lula Arsenault, Ruby, Josie and Bertha. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Friday from 6-8p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in the Springfield West Baptist Cemetery.
