Passed peacefully away in her sleep at Lakeside Homes in Gander, in the early morning hours of January 26, 2017. Dorothy Roach, age 93. Dorothy was a WWII veteran, a Welsh war bride, and a longtime resident of Glovertown, NL. Predeceased by her parents, David and Ann Clapp; her husband of 65 years, John Roach; her infant twins, David and Donald; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Tom Mythan; her sister-in-law, Margaret Clapp; and her sister-in-law, Evelyn Best (Berk). Left with fond memories are her brother, Tom Clapp, her sister-in-law, Rowena Luscombe, her children, Lynda Cunningham (Jim), Kathleen Roach, Karyl Wells (Jerry), David Roach (Maxine), Cindy Roach (Clem), eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, as well as a number of extended relatives from both Newfoundland and Wales. She was a treasure to us all and we will cherish our memories forever. Visitation will take place at Oram's Funeral Home, on Friday, January 27, 2016 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Faith United Church, Glovertown, on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2 pm. A gathering will take place afterwards at 166 Main St. North, Glovertown.
