It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Glyn Stuart Peardon, age 76, of Montague on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Surrounded by his loving wife of 56 years, Inabelle (MacPherson) Peardon, and his adoring children and grandchildren, Glyn succumbed to Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Heatherdale on November 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Preston and Mary (MacLeod) Peardon. Glyn is survived by his loving children, Glynda Peardon, Kim Klein (Ron), Sandy Peardon (Donna Wang), Gaylene Nicholson (Bobby); cherished grandchildren, Paul, Tessa (Adam Casey), Hannah and Chloe Roche, Curtis (Jill Roloson), Hope Nestor (Mike), Lily Klein, Issa Peardon, Robyn MacLean (Nick), Harrison and Aislinn Nicholson; great grandchildren Ethan and Drew MacLean; brother Gordon (Margaret) Peardon. He was predeceased by his brother Jack (Flora) and sister-in-law, Jean Peardon. Glyn was well loved for his big laugh, huge smile, and quick sense of humour. Because of his genuine love of friends and family, Glyn could often be found in the centre of a big discussion or funny story. He enjoyed a life of farming and working in the woods along side his best friend, Inabelle. The simplest things in life brought Glyn the greatest pleasures. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Wednesday, February 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral to take place at the Hillcrest United Church, Montague on February 2 at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in the Valleyfield Cemetery.
