Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at University Hospital, London on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, Willard Vincent Cummings in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Louise Cummings for 60 years. Cherished father of Lee Ann (Steve) Voller and Gord (Kris) Cummings. Proud grandfather of Stuart and Mike Voller. He will be sadly missed by his loving companion Sassy. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Beatrice Cummings. Willard started his newspaper career at the Charlottetown Guardian and retired from The London Free Press after 32 years. He was also a member of Richards Memorial United Church and former member of Gethsemane United Church. Friends were received by the family from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London. There was a funeral service held in the chapel on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
