FUCHS: Bertha age 80 years of Swift Current, SK passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Meadows. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Pastor Derrick Snyder officiating. Life Tributes were read by Theresa Fuchs-Ball and Dale Ball, the urn bearer was Theresa Fuchs-Ball, usher was Jimmy La Roque, soloists were Theresa Fuchs-Ball, Dale Ball, and Jerry Peters, and honorary pallbearers were all who shared in Bertha's life. The interment service took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Bertha is survived by her daughter Theresa (Dale) Fuchs-Ball; three sisters; one brother; two step-sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Kasper; parents Fred and Evelyn Burke; younger sister Jessie Braun; and brother Ted Burke. Bertha was born on September 22, 1936 in Regina, SK to Fred and Evelyn Burke; parents-in-law George and Annie Fuchs. She attended ABE Basic High School and Chillscommety College. Bertha married Kasper Fuchs in 1960 and they were married for 25 years until his passing in 1987. Bertha worked at various places including The Modern Restaurant, The Palliser, and Country Kitchen. She attended The Alpine Church Of God with her sister-in-law Betty Richardson. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing cards, Yahtzee, going for coffee, spending time with family and friends, playing the machines at the casino, shopping, and watching T.V. and movies. Bertha also enjoyed music especially Elvis Presly, country and full gospel music. As per Bertha's request, donations to her daughter Theresa would be greatly appreciated.
