The families of Alice Mary Reid nee Parsons announce her passing on Friday, February 3rd, 2017, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, in Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 57 years Arthur Reid, her children Donna, Sharon, Paul, Garry, Kirk, Tyrone, spouses and families, her siblings Wilson, Mazie, Lillian, Mildred, Henry, Chris, Linda, Loretta, Doreen, Rick, and families, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by her parents, mother Pearl nee Kearly and father Robert Parsons, her baby sister Lilian Evelyn Lucy, and her brother Ralph. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends on Saturday, February 4th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 5th, 2017, at 2:30 pm, at the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake, NL, with Major Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating with the burial to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in Alice's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
