Shirley Olga (nee Boulter) Hennessey

Surrounded by love at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2017 of Shirley (Boulter) Hennessey of Charlottetown, Veteran of World War II, in her 92nd year. Wife of the late Joe Hennessey. Left to celebrate her life and follow her example are her children, Brenda (Phil) Matusiewicz, Joey (Shelley) Hennessey, Linda "Bubby" Hennessey, John Hennessey (June Nunn), Danny Hennessey, Wally (Barbie) Hennessey, Lori Hennessey (Dougie Carmody), Gordie (Giselle) Hennessey, Francie Hennessey (Leo Tierney), Jennifer (John) Crook; her grandchildren, Kara (Darren) Smith, Kristopher Matusiewicz (Alena James), Michael Matusiewicz, James Clancey, Dan Hennessey Currie (Katie McGarry), Nick Hennessey Currie (Dawn Currie), Matthew Hennessey (Bobbie Anne), Morgan Hennessey (Alycia), Jane Hennessey, Jamie Hennessey, Joey Hennessey, Jacob Hennessey, Wally Anderson, Kristie Hennessey, Jackie Matheson (Audrene), Jodilyn Matheson, Logan Myers, Luke Myers, Hudson Crook; great grandchildren, Kali, Lindsey, Tate, Lucy, Devin, Daisy, Dannie Grace, Micah, Holli, Isabella, Liam,Sophie, Brooklyn, Cohen, Riah, Brielle, Airlie, Great Kitty, Matthew, her sister Linda MacPhee as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. Charlottetown Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Veteran’s Tribute Service at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:45 p.m. If so desired contributions in memory of Shirley may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry.
