Weldon Smith
It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Weldon Smith on February 6, 2017 at the Glace Bay General Hospital with loving family at his side. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late William and Mary Smith. Weldon was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church. He worked with Devco for over 30 years both in the coal mines and at the washplant. Weldon was a sports fan who loved to skate. He enjoyed being out walking and was a handyman who always had a few projects on the go.
Surviving are his loving wife Anna, son Paul, his twin brother Sheldon from Scotchtown and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his oldest son, Ricky, brother, Eric and sisters, Beulah and Sylvia. In following Weldon's wishes, there will be a private graveside service at a later date under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home.
