The death occurred under Hospice care in Buckeye, Arizona, on February 12, 2007 of Duncan MacKay (formerly of Stanley Bridge, PEI) at age 59. He was the son of the late Donald MacKay and Mary-Jean (Bourque) also formerly of Stanley Bridge. Duncan is survived by his wife Katherine (Haralson), mother Mary-Jean Summerside, brother Matthew and Ann (Elsinga) Charlottetown, their two sons Jed (Halifax) and Ezra. (Montreal) Also by two grown step-children in Texas, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. (Two favourite cousins, Flora and Kellie). He is now “absent from the body and present with the Lord.” He will be buried in Texas at a later date.Through a courageous battle with lung, bone cancer and back disease, Duncan’s favourite verse was: Joshua 9:1 Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be discouraged: for the Lord thy God is always with thee.
