Pinch, Eldon Glen - It is with great sadness his family announces the passing of Eldon Pinch on February 18, 2017, at the age of 90. Eldon was predeceased by his loving wife, Doris (Robinson); sons Glenn and Steven, stepson Eugene, and granddaughter Desiree; parents Frank and Nora; and sisters Ruby Lake, Franny Davidson and Barbara Davidson. He is survived by his daughter, Gloria (Bob) Woolsey, Arizona; son, Wade (Diane), Hantsport; daughter, Pamela (Devon), Toronto; stepson, John (Donna) Robinson, Prince Edward Island; stepson, Jim (Leona), British Columbia; stepson, Wesley (Sandra), Alberta; sisters Myrtle Kennedy, Thelma Davidson, Sylvia (Neno) Chiarop and Carroll Card. Those who knew Eldon, knew of his unmatched integrity and strong work ethic. He was a kind and gentle man, and as an accomplished gardener his self-taught knowledge of horticulture will be greatly missed. Eldon took great joy in his 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Eldon also had a reputation as a great deal maker and his wit and humour will forever be remembered. The family is grateful to the nurses and staff of Haliburton Place at the Hants Community Hospital for their care and compassion, and would also like to thank the many friends that visited Eldon during this period. Cremation has taken place and per Eldon’s request a celebration of his life will take place during the warm summer months. An announcement outlining the details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
