Paul Victor Pearson passed away peacefully on Saturday March 4, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Paul was born May 30, 1929 on the farm at Ardill. He attended Hilton School in 1935 then went to Moose Jaw for Grade 10 at the Tech High School in 1945, finishing in Mossbank in 1947, then on to the University of Saskatchewan for two years. Paul played baseball with the Hilton Ball Club and then with the Assiniboia Aces from 1954-1956. He worked with Husky Oil Energy from 1960-1971, then moved to Edmonton working with the Alberta Highway Testing Lab. Paul married Margaret Higgins in 1956. He is predeceased by his parents John and Alma; daughter Gail; siblings Jen (John) Burkhart, Adele (Bert) Hicks, Alphild Pearson, Walter, Rudy (Lottie Huslin) and Carl (Marion Gibson); brothers-in-law Herb Reichart and Pat Kilkenny. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Margaret; daughter Wanda Barrow; son Grant (Twylla Gust); grandchildren Tammy (Sylvain) Godbout, Chris Barrow, Chantel (John) Hynes, Matt Dallyn, Nicholas and Tanya Pearson; great grandchildren Steaven, Derek, Daymond, Brayden, Noah and Brooklyn; sisters Dot Kilkenny and Hazel Reichart as well as many nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 7:00PM to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 1:00PM. Della Ferguson will officiate. Private family interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
