Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 94. Rhoda was a devoted wife for 64 years to the late Lester Gill. She was a loving mother to Greg (Cathy), Gary and Gina who will miss her smile and good humour deeply. Also left to mourn are her granddaughters Caitlin and LeeAnn. She is remembered fondly by her sister Gwendolyn Dysart, her brother Gilbert of Nova Scotia as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Rhoda became a registered nurse in 1945 in St. John's, Newfoundland, where she also worked at the Grace General Hospital, and later the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to the caring staff at the Guelph General Hospital, The Village of Riverside Glen and The Royal on Gordon. Friends are invited to share their wonderful memories of Rhoda with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 12 - 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in the Historic Kuntz House of the funeral home. A private family interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
