Our family is heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of David Wayne Cantwell on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the age of 41.
Born in North Sydney on May 30, 1975, David was the son of Raymond Jr. and Ann (Ratchford) Cantwell. David you will forever be remembered, loved and deeply missed by your parents; daughter, Rebekah Morrison; brother, Scott Cantwell and sister, Raylene Cantwell. An amazing son, brother, father and friend who lived his short life to the fullest, enjoyed quality time with his friends; loved sport cars and boating and was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Edmonton Oilers. Among his many accomplishments, he graduated from Memorial High School in Sydney Mines in 1993 and was a successful entrepreneur with a painting business in Alberta and Nova Scotia over the years. There will be no visitation by request. David’s life will be celebrated with a funeral mass at 2 p.m. on Thursday at St. Joachim Church in Boularderie with Rev. Peter McLeod officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
