MARION PHYLLIS KINSLOW
September 1, 1957 – March 6, 2017

When we think back to all of the wonderful memories that we have of our wife, mother grandmother, daughter and most of all friend, our hearts are deeply saddened to announce that our angel Marion Kinslow (nee Strickland) lost her courageous battle with cancer on Monday, March 6 at the age of 59 years. Marion was predeceased by her father James Strickland, brother Garland Strickland, mother and father in law Emily and John Kinslow and brothers in law John Kinslow and Bill Kinslow. She leaves to mourn with many precious memories her loving and devoted husband Raymond of 40 years. Loving mother of Corey (Leona) of Codroy, Stephanie (Draper) and Melissa all of Port aux Basques. A very proud nanny, Marion will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Shycia, Dillon, Kearsten, Claire, Brady, Letisha. She will forever remain in the hearts of her mother Lillian Strickland, brothers; Isreal (Roberta) Strickland of Fox Roost, Eli (Marcella) Strickland of Port aux Basques, Curtis (Kim) Strickland of Gander, NL and sister Trudy (Stephen) Lomond of Torbay, NL. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters in law; Tom (Joanne) Kinslow of Isle aux Morts, Wallace (Karen) Kinslow of Burnt Islands, Bruce Kinslow of Stephenville, Darlene (Steward) of Stephenville Crossing, Bertha (Paul) Chipp of Stephenville, Philip (Carol) Kinslow and Llewellyn (Patsy) Kinslow, and Kathleen Kinslow all of Nova Scotia. Marion loved life, her family and especially her friends. She could be found anytime time having fun and hanging out with them. Kelly and Robert Pike, Sherry and Wayne Savoury, Tom and Kim Anderson, Scott Samms and Candace Hann, Paul Taylor, David Gaulton, and Lisa and Kenny Legge were all very special to Marion and they will have many precious memories that will remain in their hearts forever. Marion also loved a good game of darts and of course her favourite past time was her bingo game. Her and her mother shared many fun hours together at bingo and had many laughs doing what they loved to do together. Those who shared in Marion's life were among the most fortunate people in the world, she was everyone's buddy and she will live in their memories forever. Visitation taking place on Wednesday March 8 and Thursday March 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. The funeral service took place on Friday March 10, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Harold Harvey, internment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Marion can be made to her family.
