It is with great sadness that the families of the late Gerald Esau Hoyles want to announce that he went to be with the Lord, whom he served for 67 faithful years on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at the Long Term Care Facility, in Corner Brook, surrounded by his loving family. Gerald leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Melvin (Una), Mona (Lance) King, Marlene (George) Rowbottom, Mitchell (Lisa), and Mark (Rose), his daughter-in-law: Colleen (Carroll) Organ, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Evelyn Bryant, Jean (Jim) Clarke, Ella Ledrew, Ralph (Angela), Baxter (Verna), Wayne (Beverley), Junior (Lorna), and Joy Hoyles, along with brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to count. Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife Ruby, of 62 years, son Monty, one grandson, one great-grandson, also his parents: Jane and Jacob Hoyles, step-mother Trixie-Mae, 3 brothers, and one sister. The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, today, Friday, March 10th, 2017, from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Saturday, March 11th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, March 12th, 2017 at 2:00pm at The Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Bennett Ave, Deer Lake, with Pastor Peter Grimes officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery on Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
