Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at the L.A. Miller Centre. Joan Anna Dillon, aged 91 years. Predeceased by her husband James; sisters Genevieve Walsh, Mary Lawlor and Loretta O’Neill; brothers Hubert and Gordon Scaplen. Left with many cherished memories her daughters Judy, Alana (Sam Prior), Rita (Chris O’Keefe), Geraldine (Frank DeLacey) and Ann Marie (Don Roberts); grandchildren Carissa Sparkes, Jamie DeLacey, Joanne O’Keefe-Zapfe, Dana DeLacey-Wilson, Stephen Manning, Curtis Roberts, Kara Manning, Cory Roberts and Melissa Roberts; great grandchildren Kyla Sparkes, Jenna Sparkes and Brendan Manning; sisters Patricia Wight and Bernadette Tobin; brother Gerald (Junior) Scaplen; special nieces, Ruby, Verna, Edna, Debbie, Connie and Yvonne; special nephew Kevin as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Colleen Dillon for all her thoughtfulness and kindness. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Cremation to follow.
