It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Hilda Wheeler announce her passing on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Roy Wheeler; daughter Thelma Powell; adopted son Gary Wheeler; grandchildren: Debbie Layden, Coline Baillairge, Christy (Ben) Waring, Lisa Wheeler, Christina Wheeler, Desiree Wheeler, Paul Baillairge, James Wheeler and Cory Wheeler; great-grandchildren: Roy Layden, Patricia Layden, Paul Michael Baillairge, Derek Baillairge and Avery Baillairge; great-great-grandchildren: Calab Layden, Tucson and Corbin Ballairge; sister Vivian Kennell; brother Doug Cooper; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ellison Wheeler, daughter-in-law Coline Wheeler, sisters Dorothy, Myrtle and Lillian, brothers Allen and Jack. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Chapel, St. Mark's Avenue with Rev.
