It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frances Fiander announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the age of 92 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Lucille Evans (Robert), Corner Brook, Ruby Polem (Davis), Paradise, Marilyn Hubley (Alan), Whitehorse, Yukon; son-in-law Frank Elliott, St. John's; grandchildren: Kim Dwyer (Paul), Robert Polem (Tina), Michael Evans (Shauna), Stephanie Howe (Brian), Stephen Polem (Tracey), Alison Maxwell (Barry), Chad Evans (Amanda) and Blair Hubley; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Matthew; daughter Avril Elliott; brothers: Matthew Brown (Mabel), Gorman Brown (Ruby) and Wallace Brown (Ethel). Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. from St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church with Reverend Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the SPCA or the charity of one's choice.
