It is with tremendous sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Roger, at the age of 70, with his loving wife Linda and cherished son Jason (Amanda) by his side, following a ten year struggle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Hazen and Lillian Holdrightas well as brother Seyward, he also leaves behind his sisters Lee Baxter (Joseph), Jocelyn Smith (Larry) as well as his brothers Glenford (Freda) and Louis (Joan).
A memorial service was held at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Interment took place at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery, located at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations in Roger's memory may be made to the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital (Bruyère Foundation: 43 Bruyère St., Ottawa, ON K1N 5C8.
