Stanley Alanson Lawson
June 22, 1940 – March 13, 2017
Stan passed away peacefully at home following his diagnosis with Cancer just two months earlier.
Predeceased by his ever-loving wife of 55 years, June, who had passed away only ten months earlier.
Survived by his 2 sons Michael and Glenn (Karen) and granddaughter Sarah Marie, his sisters Marg and Betty.
Stan and June were high school sweethearts, both growing up as neighbors in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. “W.O. Stan Lawson” began his 35 years of loyal service with the Airforce. His career had many postings, including 2 tours of Germany. Lastly retiring here in the Comox Valley, B.C.
Together Stan and June enjoyed playing years of competitive darts and bowling. In Duetshland, they loved volksmarches, curling and travelling. Their ventures took them to many, many countries; Egypt, China, Russia, and all through Europe. Upon returning to Canada they both lived the daily world of golfing.
