It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott, beloved husband of Marion (Wasutyk) of Calgary, at the age of 57 years. Scott lived a life of laughter, had a passion for family, hockey, golf, and running a locomotive. Scottie was a sly card player to which many could attest. He loved to travel and spending time at their vacation property in Phoenix AZ. Scott had a great wit and sense of humour and always made people feel special. Most people would describe Scottie as having integrity, being humble, and treating everyone with respect.
Scott was an amazing partner with his wife in business, and loved all of his family greatly. Scott is survived by his loving wife Marion and their two children, Brynn of Smithers, BC and Brittney Tough (Alistair) of Calgary AB, his parents Louis and Norma Lintick, and his in-laws Miron and Ruth Wasutyk, of Prince Albert, SK. He is also survived by his siblings, Randy Lintick (Audrey) of Prince Albert, SK and Kelly Minucci (Daniel) of Winnipeg, MB, his two sisters-in-law Louise Vance (Gerald) of Osler, SK and Debbie St. Amand (Denis) of Prince Albert, many nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, too many to name.
Scott worked with the Canadian National Railway for 31 years - as a Brakeman, Conductor and Engineer; a Trainmaster in Winnipeg, MB, Canora, SK, and Calgary, AB. He was also a Local Chairman for CN Calgary. Ultimately Scott became one of the select few to work with the government as a Rail Safety Inspector with Transport Canada where he was employed at the time of his passing.
He was a Master Mason of Kinistino Lodge #1 in Prince Albert and also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Funeral Services were held in Calgary on March 6th, 2017. Memorial donations may be forwarded to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre - 1331 29 St NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
Scottie will be greatly missed.
