SWINAMER, Dana William. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dana, age 62 of Falmouth, Hants Co., after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Born in Windsor, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Roy and Joan (Bawdick) Swinamer. Dana was an avid wrestling fan and loved hunting and fishing. Some of his happiest times were spent at the hunting camp with Mark. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his family. He is survived by his common-law wife, Bonnie; sons, John (Addy) and Scott; daughters, Ashley (Troy) Carson and Natasha Chambers (Greg Burgess); stepdaughter, Rachael (Craig) Smith; grandsons, Bailey, Logan, Brandon, Brayden and Blake; granddaughters, Janaya, Jullianna, Brianna and Adrianna; sisters, Ann (Fred) Pickrem, Maxine (John) McLeod, Lynn (Mark) Jessop, Louise (Ron) Nicholson and Sally (Joe) Majcan; brothers, David (Linda), Paul (Wanita), Terry (Heather) and Robert (Jean) Chambers; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; extended family, Paul and Lynn Caldwell, Pam, Clay and Wendell and his special I.T.S. Family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Brian. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS BON 2TO (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 23. A funeral service celebrating Dana’s life was held 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Banfield Parsons officiating. A reception immediately followed in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment took place in Ste. Croix Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Dana may be made to Hants Community Hospital, Palliative Care, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
