She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Doris Stoner; and brothers, Richard (Dickie) Stoner, and Barry Stoner. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Bill Calanchie; daughters, Bev Calanchie and Debbie Street (Tony Beeny); grandchildren: Angela (Trevor) Gordon and children Jackson and Aspen, Cindy (Marco) Ricci and children Maia and Renzo, and Jeff (Ashlea) Street and children Chace, Deklan and Cole; sisters: Rita Poyraz, Vivian (Bill) Baines, Laura Facchin, and Pauline (Peter) Leng; brother, Rod Stoner; as well as many nieces and nephews. Joyce was born in Dover, England where she met and married Bill. They moved to Canada in 1950. In addition to raising her two daughters, she worked at Sears for 27 years where she made many friends. She also loved her many trips back to England. Most important to her was family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce will be remembered by all who knew her for her beautiful smile and twinkling blue eyes. The family would like to thank the staff of Pioneers Lodge for their care of Joyce, as well as the nursing staff on the medical floor at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for their exceptional care of Joyce in her last few days. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Dave Foley officiating.
