The death occurred peacefully, with family by his side, at the Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, of Peter Ryan, beloved husband of Tanya Ryan (nee Bevan) of New Glasgow, aged 47. Peter was the son of Zita (Kenny) Ryan and the late Peter John Ryan Sr. He was the loving father of Sarah, Ellen and Margaret Ryan; and step-father of Dylan Bevan. He is also survived by his brother, Jeremiah Ryan (Shannon); sister, Leah Holland (Francis); parents-in-law, Roger and Susan (Brown) Bevan; sister-in-law, Jill Bevan-Gallant (Cory Gallant); brother-in-law, Andrew Bevan (Krista); nephews and nieces, Jeremiah, Kate, Maeve and James Ryan; Peter and Kieran Holland; Christopher, Nathan and Emma Gallant; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father, Peter was predeceased by an infant brother, Donald. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Cuthberts Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Teresa.
