It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kathleen “Kay” Janet Garland. She was the daughter of the late Norma Kerr and wife to the late James Garland. Born in Neil’s Harbour, on October 22, 1947 and passed away peacefully at home Thursday, April 6, 2017.
She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Donald and Sandy.
Kay will be dearly missed by her only son, Dougie (Nancy); her grandchildren, Cathy (Joey), Justin (Sam), Melissa (Craig); her great-grandchildren, Layton and Lawson; as well as her sisters, Marlene (John), Dawn (Peter) and Dolena (Troy). As per her wishes, there will be no service. Kay’s family will have a private celebration of her life at a later date.
