Allan Hart

Passed on: April 13th, 2017

It is with broken hearts and precious memories that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Allan Hart on April 13, 2017. Born January 11, 1956. Allan will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy Manitok Hart; sons, Jeffery (Lee Ann), Bradley (Lorraine) and Tracy (Mike); grandchildren, Colton and Tiara; his siblings, Jimmy (Raylene), Cathie MacLean and Mary MacDonald (Lionel), along with many nieces and nephews. Allan is predeceased by his parents, Allan and Olive Hart, and his brother, Joe. In 1976 Allan made Baker Lake Nunavut his home for life. He worked for The Northern Store and retired from there after 35 years of service. His professional management style earned him the friendship and respect of his coworkers and customers and he left with an award winning record of success. This is where Al got the title Naalagaq (The Boss). He was a worker and not ready to retire and continued into a business partnership to develop Nunamiut Lodge and Restaurant. Al had a great sense of humour and he was a big time Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Al had a great passion for work and hockey but his greatest love was his family. He was very proud of them all.
There will be a service this morning April 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at The Community Center in Baker Lake, Nunavut.
You did not go alone Al, a piece of each of us went with you and we will miss you forever until we meet again. May you enjoy your eternal life in the house of our Lord. We love you BIGGGGG!!!!
