It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leland Mayo of Salt Pond announces his passing at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories children Leland Jr. (Barb) of Ottawa, Donald (Sandy) of Ottawa, Eleanor Mayo (Herb) of CBS, Albert of Marystown and Joanne Mayo (Jerry) of Marystown; 12 grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren; sisters Alice Young (Gordon) of Creston North and Pauline Dodge (Cyril) of St. John's; brothers Eugene of Burin and Gerald (Lucille) of St. John's; special friend Philomena Durnford of Creston South and special neighbour Keith Kelloway plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by parents Rueben and Isabella Mayo; wife Melita Mayo; son David Mayo.
Rev. Robert Peddle officiated Funeral service from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ship Cove, Monday, April 17th, 2017 with interment following at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Hodder's Point.
Pall Bearers were Don Mayo, David Mayo, Justin Mayo, Albert Mayo, Ronnie Hogan, Tanner Power.
