Robert ‘Bobby’ Angell

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Robert Angell, age 72. Robert passed away peacefully Friday, April 21, 2017 at An Cala Palliative Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, with his Caregivers and family by his side.
Born June 12, 1944, in Sydney, Robert was the son of the late Robert and Rose (Ollie Conn) Angell. Robert was employed with Horizon Achievement Centre in Sydney from July 1989 until his retirement June 2012. Robert lived with his family until he moved to Cape Breton Residential Society in New Waterford June 2, 2005. Robert loved his family dearly, he truly enjoyed spending time with them, especially his coffee and lunch visits with his brother John, and when they were all together for his retirement and birthday parties. Robert was very outgoing, he was open to any new adventure. He was willing to go anywhere the car was going, he was full of life and laughter. He loved good music, good food, and good company. Robert touched many people in his lifetime, especially all the people who had the privilege of working for him. We will all remember his sense of humour and wonderful smile. Robert will truly be missed by all.
Robert leaves behind his sister, Helen Angell – Hartigan (Bruce Evans); brother, Tommy (Carol); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John, Alex, and Frederick in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Westmount, with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery, and reception to follow in church hall.
