Ernest John Campbell

It is with sadness that the family of Ernest John Campbell announces his passing on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Orchard View Nursing Home in Gagetown, NB. Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS, he was the son of the late John and Annie (MacNeil) Campbell. Ernie served in the military in both the Black Watch and the Royal Canadian Regiment. He was best described as a family man, loving to spend his time with family and friends.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Velzora ‘Tiny’; sons, John Campbell (Janice) of Blind River, ON, Gordon Campbell (Carol) of New Glasgow, NS and Stanley Campbell (Laurie) of Nasonworth, NB; daughters, Tamara Parks (Bruce) of Gagetown, NB and Bonnie Potter (John) of Bedford, NS; grandchildren, Michael, Shawna, Kelly, Jennifer, Jarrett, Thomas, Kristen, Adam, Malinda, Bryan, Robyn and Ryan; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ernie was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Campbell; eight sisters and four brothers.
There will be a visitation on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. at the Oromocto Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Reyes officiating. Interment will take place in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery at a later date.
