It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Dempster announces her passing on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. Evelyn was a long time resident of Nameless Cove. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 52 years Harold; daughter Trudy; sons Roger, Dwight (Keri), John (Stacy), and Harold Jr. (Karen Ann); grandchildren Michael (Samantha), Michelle (Zach), Ashley, Faith, James, KaCey, Harley, Tori, Sydney and Alyssa; great-grandchild Sophia; sisters Gloria (Henry), Elaine (Ross), Wavey, Leona (Henry), Pauline (John), and Lurley (Raymond); brothers Garry (Minnie), Paschol, Terry (Priscilla), and Bruce (Delina). She was predeceased by her parents James and Lennora Hughes and sisters Delores Matchim and Priscilla Applin. Visitation took place at the Gospel Hall in Nameless Cove from where the funeral took place on Wednesday, March 22 with Mr. Gaius Goff officiating. Interment followed at the Gospel Hall Cemetery in Nameless Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony.
